Popcorn Shrimp as an appetizer
A type of deep-fried coated shrimp is normally made with only the shrimp to be bite-sized. Crispy & Juicy. Similar to the way you'd eat popcorn. That's why called popcorn.
INGREDIENTS & QUANTITY:
- Shrimp Small Size- 500gm.
- Flour- 2 Cups.
- Egg- 2 pcs
- White pepper- 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil- For frying
- Ginger powder- 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder- 1 teaspoon
- Salt- To taste
KITCHEN UTENSILS:
- Mixing tray / Bowl medium size
- Bowl small size- 1
- Strainer
- Pan
- Whisk
- Knife
DIRECTION:
- Wash & clean shrimp
- Remove shrimp shell with dark vain shown in the picture:
- Keep aside 10 to 15 minutes to strain extra water.
- Take a mixing tray and pour flour. then add white pepper, ginger powder, garlic powder, salt, and mix well.
- Take another bowl and beat the egg by the whisk.
- Fix pan on the stove, pour oil, and flame on medium-high.
- Step-1: Shrimp spread with flour mixer after then dipped in egg batter and raised up and back to flour mixture again. Shown as picture:
- When becomes golden brown then pick up.
GARNISHING: Take an oval plate and garnish as you like but I like the green and red combination that's why I use lettuce and curving red tomato. Served with french fries and tartar sauce or anything you like. Enjoy...
